We are currently accepting applications from authors/poets who would like to read at our next festival taking place Friday 28th – Sunday 30th September 2018. Applications will be accepted from May 1st – 31st. Applications sent outside this period will not be considered.

Bray Literary Festival 
You have a misprint above. “If you are interested in entering OUT writing competitions”. I realise this may be purposeful as in the case of the newsagent who put a notice on his shop window “SAIL STARTS TODAY”.
A regular customer was in the shop when a stranger came in to inform the proprietor of his error. The shopkeeper thanked the stranger. The stranger bought a newspaper and packet of sweets and left.
The customer advised the shopkeeper to alter the notice to avoid further annoyance. The shopkeeper replied “No way! That’s the seventh sale I made since putting the notice up yesterday morning.”
