BLF Prices 2019

With the exception of “An Evening with John Boyne & Jess Kidd” taking place in the Mermaid Arts Centre on Saturday 28th September @ 8pm (Tickets: €12/10 concession), all other day-time events will cost €5 on Saturday & Sunday 28th/29th (or FREE to over 65’s) and are pay-at-the-door unless you hold a day/weekend pass.

Tickets for John Boyne and Jess Kidd can be booked here and are not included in the day/weekend pass:

Day/Weekend passes can be purchased at the festival. Day passes are €15. Weekend passes: €25. Passes do not include workshops, which are €10 each. Booking for workshops is essential. To reserve a place, email: You pay your facilitator on the day!

Book Clubs offer: For every 4 day/weekend passes purchased – a 5th person can go FREE! Ex: €60 for 5 people for 1 day, or €100 for 5 people for the weekend.

Our “Wilde Times” talk on Oscar Wilde in the Strand Hotel on Friday 27th is a FREE event, as is our Culture night event (Fri 20th Sept) featuring  Poetry: A Celebration of Shirley McClure (introduced by poet Katie Donovan with readings by Philip K. Beck), music by Bray trio: Mood Swings, Readings from young Fighting Words writers, members of the New Irish Communities group from the IWC, and winners of our fiction and poetry competitions!

Poet, Philip Lynch will host an Open Mic in the Strand Hotel after the our Wilde Times event where writers, poets and musicians will be welcome to step up to the mic. Please note that performers have 5 mins maximum to allow as many participants as possible to join in the fun! We have a bell and will not be shy about ringing it!! 😛

Musician, Keith Burke, will be performing with his full band in the Harbour Bar on Sunday 29th @ 9pm. This event will close BLF 2019 – and as always, Harbour Bar gigs are not only brilliant but FREE! 🙂
